Christmas Party 2013 … British Bash!

WHEN: 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013
WHERE
: Rebecca’s house. Directions will be sent to those attending.
RSVP:  Leave a comment here or on Facebook if you’re coming.

This post and the menu will be updated periodically.  Please check back for updates.

The theme this year is BRITISH MODERN.  Bring dates/friends/family/significant others.  The menu will be made up of British Christmas finger foods that are kitschy modern, and themed cocktails with a twist.  Modern, you ask?  It’s the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who!  There will be inspiration from some favorite Brit coms and dramas, past and present.  Especially for the big Christmas Who special … saying goodbye to Eleven and hullo to Twelve.  Little winks and nods to Brit TV 1970s to the present.

  1. I can do mini scones and jam. How mini is mini? I will, of course, use Shirley’s recipe which is the best.

    • I’m looking forward to them, Shelley! I would say minis are one- or two-bite sized. It would probably work to cut them to half the size the recipe indicates, and bake them for maybe 2 minutes less.
I also have an afternoon tea book with mini-scone recipes, and can scan and e-mail them to you if you like. Can’t wait to see you, and hopefully Erin, at the party!

  2. I need RSVPS by December 1st retrofocus@mac.com or the fb

Also need to know what people are bringing. Thanks. Rebecca
